Eve Lom Moisturiser TLC Radiance Cream is a daily moisturiser to help your skin look and feel soft, hydrated, youthful and radiant. Suitable for all skin conditions and ideal for everybody who looks for a lightweight daily moisturiser which not only hydrates, but also provides lifting and complexion boosting action.

Naturally fragranced with the most luxurious and natural essential oil Rose Otto of Bulgaria, Eve Lom TLC Radiance Cream contains an exclusive blend of highly effective ingredients:

Arctic Raspberry seed oil, a powerful antioxidant,

Rosehip seed oil, a natural source of Vitamin A and Vitamin C to protect skin from damaging free radicals and to restore skin elasticity. The result a more youthful complexion

Oat Kernel Extract and Sepilift, a triple action lifting complex provide immediate skin lifting and help to smooth fine lines instantly.

For a more radiant complexion added Silica Mica smooth out skin imperfections and add natural sheen and radiance to the skin.

Combined with Hyaluronic Acid skin will be immediately moisturised and longer lasting skin hydration is guaranteed.

0028_9201_dt

I was totally amused by this new moisturiser; Unlike the rest of Eve lom’s product, this wonderful moisturizer is lotion gel like in texture ( despite  it’s named cream ), totally refreshing and non occlusive! It even mattifies my skin when i use it over my holy grail face oil ( ILA ), during day time.

I find my skin less greasy whenever i use this miracle product, be it over serum or oil. This is definitely my new holy grail multi-purpose moisturizer. It’s also a great makeup primer, helping my powder to glide on effortlessly.

The only claim it fails to fulfill is adding radiance, as the silica/mica formulation fail to  deliver even a subtle sheen on my skin upon application.

The Times – Top skincare products

Posted in skincare with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on July 5, 2009 by LPB

My personal views on Times fashion team’s picks:

1) Prescriptives Super Line Preventor

px_379M_R200

Protective barrier serum that helps to give the skin an even texture; cocktail of targeted antioxidants that diminishes the look of lines and wrinkles by up to 54%.

Armed with Super Antioxidant System (SAS), it defends against the visible aging effects of free radicals triggered by environmental assaults both immediately after exposure and again up to 72 hours later. It helps strengthen skin and boost its natural defenses by helping skin bolster its collagen production to improve visible skin tone, radiance and diminish the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

I prefer Estee Lauder’s  Advance Night Repair.

d_200906_mppmw_anr-learn

This comprehensive, high-performance anti-aging serum ( inspired by groundbreaking DNA research ) helps continuously repair the appearance of past damage, prevent future damage and deliver high levels of hydration.

This advanced formula – with 20 patents worldwide – includes Chronolux™ Technology, neutralizes up to 90%* of environmentally generated free radicals before they can affect skin’s appearance ; creates the optimal environment for repair with nature’s long-proven moisture magnet – Hyaluronic Acid ; soothes daily irritation and builds a rich anti-oxidant reserve to help replenish skin’s natural protectants.

2) Neal’s Yard rose water toner

Inexpensive, natural toner that helps to freshen up and tighten the skin.

Rose water  is an effective, exhilarating freshener that not only tones the skin but also lifts the spirit. Neal’s Yard is the most economic i had tried ; Aromatherapy Associates has a damask rose facial toner ;  Amanda Lacey & Chantecaille  both have luxurious rose tonics ( almost pure rose distillate ).

Neil’s Yard rose water contains alcohol and strictly speaking, it’s aloe juice with rose essential oil.

3) Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream

00267_lg

Helps to reduce the depth of wrinkles and hydrates the skin to give the face a plumped-up, youthful glow. This revolutionary Anti-Ageing cream uses the Marine extract Padina Pavonica to transform the complexion in just over 2 weeks. Trials proved that the appearance in wrinkle depth was reduced by up to 78% and that hydration was increased by up to 45%. Skin firmness and elasticity are dramatically increased, whilst providing superior free radical protection.

Collagen is a great moisture magnet, but i don’t believe topical application of collagen enriched skin cream could revive/enhance collagen production in the dermis. I prefer creams with retinoids, peptides, alpha hydroxy acids.

4) Jurlique Biodynamic Beauty Serum

104700_m

A lightweight serum made from biodynamic ingredients ; Rich in the living energy of organic Black Elder and Licorice, this serum helps fade discolorations and brightens skin for increased radiance ; Beech Tree Buds, Hibiscus and Yeast help strengthen the skin.

Jurlique’s biodynamic serum leaves a matt finish due to the presence of starch and i don’t find it nourishing enough. Biodynamic? Sounds more like a marketing scam.

5) Eve Lom Kiss Mix

Compact lip treatment which moisturises lips and gives a dewy, subtle sheen. One application lasts a long time.

My favorite! ( at least one of ) – dense enough for protection and nourishment , yet light enough for comfort; It’s also quite “minty” on application; The only complaint is you have to dip your finger into the pot……

6) Natura Bissé facial cleansing gel + AHA

A refreshing, wash-off, gel cleanser with alpha hydroxy acids that leaves your face clean without any drying effects.

I prefer Dermalogica’s age smart version.

7) Vaishaly night cream

A light yet very nourishing night cream that is easily and hygenically dispensed from a nifty press pump.

I enjoy using Vaishaly’s product; no hypes, simple rituals, delicate scents, good enough to eat ingredients……

8) Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

Extremely gentle exfoliant that can be used every day for a brighter-looking appearance.

As I use Eve Lom’s cleanser with polishing cloth, i find this unnecessary ; However, powdery paste like Dermalogica’s  daily microfoliant  is less abrasive when skin is blemished/irritated/inflammed. Calmia has a similar version ( skin bright micro polish ), both containing fruit enzymes and acids to renew the skin.

9) Chanel Précision Lait Confort creamy cleansing milk

A light, everyday cleaning milk which is soft on the skin and effectively removes the day’s grime.

There are plenty of equally efficient cleansing milk out there, which your bank manager will agree……

10) Dr Sebagh creme Extreme Maintenance

Ultra-rich cream specifically designed for very dry or sensitive skin. Absorbs easily.

Great cream, worth every penny, in my opinion.

11) Estee Lauder DayWear Plus multi-protection antioxidant creme SPF 15

An easily absorbed daily moisturiser with antioxidants and the bonus of an inbuilt SPF 15.

This kind of formulation might be a breakthrough in the 90’s, but what’s so special about it nowadays? I demand my day cream to have antioxidant properties and sun screens ( including sufficient UVA protection )

12) Ila face mask for revitalising skin

ILA05-AW08-1

Clay-based mask infused with Damascene rose otto and Argan oil that draws out impurities without drying the skin. Gives the face a bright glow.

Best mask i had ever used! Even outdone Eve Lom’s……

13) Lancôme Flash Bronzer

Idiot-proof bronzer that quickly develops an even, natural, sun-kissed glow.

I prefer Dior’s or Guerlain’s.

14) The Organic Pharmacy Honey and Jasmine mask

Organic mask that is deeply hydrating for dry, parched skin. Use as a mask or leave on overnight.

Runny upon application + sticky when dry = messy

15) No7 Protect and Perfect night cream

The legendary cream from Boots: this restorative, replenishing cream delivers long-lasting hydration and a smooth, fresh appearance.

Never try this before! I prefer Olay’s

16) Spiezia organic facial cleanser

125_1_L

A 100% organic product that is approved by the British Soil Association. A deep cleanser that removes heavy make-up, leaving your skin feeling super-soft.

Addictive! An effective yet nurturing cleanser, nice texture, soul soothing aromas. I almost replace my Eve Lom’s with this!

17) Dr Haushka Rose Day Cream

Deeply nourishing day cream made from biodynamic ingredients. Great for dry skin or for very cold climates.

I find this a rather basic moisturizer, not worth the hypes/claims.

18) YSL eye make-up remover

A gentle yet highly effective remover that doesn’t sting the eyes. Also contains pro-vitamin B5, which coats and strengthens the lashes.

Lancome has better versions.

19) Guinot Anti Fatigue Yeux eye gel

Relaxes and soothes heavy and swollen eyelids and helps to reduce the appearance of fatigue.

I had never tried Guinot’s product.

20) Darphin Purifying Balm

Gorgeous-smelling, plant-based balm that helps to prevent breakouts.

I prefer blemish sticks by Clarins or Clinique. Tea tree oil does the trick as well.

21) Garnier Ultra Lift eye cream

Visibly reduces the appearance of wrinkles around the eyes.

I use La Mer.

22) SK-II skin refining treatment

Lifts away layers of dead skin cells to leave radiant, clear-looking skin. A discernible improvement can be seen after a month’s use. No added fragrance.

Overpriced cream that has a very tiny portion of BHA – save your money. Dr Sebagh’s masque once a week delivers better result than daily use of this marketing gimmicks.

23) Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

Revitalising, creamy gel that tightens the skin and adds a natural glow. Great as a base before applying make-up.

It may be a great product in the 80’s…… We have better and deserve better!

24) Sisley Broad Spectrum Facial Sunscreen, SPF 30

Colourless, high-protection sunscreen which absorbs easily and is non-greasy.

Pricey sunscreen, i would rather spend the money on air ticket.

Skin resolutions

Posted in skincare with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on February 25, 2009 by LPB

Make this year the year for beautiful skin with these 10 MUST-DO Skin Resolutions, from Dallas-based skin care expert, Renée Rouleau.

1. Always wash your skin and moisturize at bedtime. Research indicates that the skin repairs itself most effectively at night, so you want to put your skin in the best possible condition for its repair. For those who are too tired to wash off their makeup at night, try this! Your nighttime routine doesn’t have to be done minutes before you hit the bed. Wash your face when you get home from work, or even after dinner. Do it earlier rather than later! So, washing off the day’s dirt and grime and nourishing it with good moisture and nutrients will give your skin a chance to renew while you sleep! And remember, quality moisturizers that do not contain clogging ingredients, will not suffocate your skin.

article-1049239-026b382f00000578-193_306x381

I remember reading some advice regarding putting your face cream on before 8pm, so that your skin will have enough time to absorb all the nutrients before its peak renewal period (10pm – 2am)

2. Wear a sunscreen in your moisturizer daily. Studies indicate that 78% of the sun exposure you get in a lifetime is incidental exposure. You may say, “I’m not out at all during the day.” Just walking to your car, even driving in your car will give you unnecessary sun damage. Windshields do nothing to protect you from UV rays! And we know that sun exposure is the #1 cause of aging!!!! A minimum of SPF 15 should be used every day, winter and summer. Don’t forget to apply it to the neck and ears.

466525_fpxtif

I prefer sunscreen that contains molecules that are  stable (under UV irradiation), provides broad spectrum screening and has antioxidants (for free radical protection). On the day that i dont wear a sunscreen, i try to make sure i use a foundation/powder will SPF.

3. Use a topical stable vitamin C product daily. In addition to using a moisturizer containing antioxidants, topical applications of high amounts of Vitamin C have been shown to prevent premature skin aging by fighting free radicals, lighten skin discoloration and actually increase the sun protection in a sunscreen! However, most Vitamin C products out on the market use the acid forms of the Vitamin (like Ascorbic Acid or Alpha Lipoic Acid). These are in fact, acids, which is why you can feel a stinging sensation on the skin.

oct_new

The new research on skin aging indicates that daily use of skin irritating acids actually encourage free radical formation, which counteracts the reason why you’re using Vitamin C in the first place! Plus, the problem with these acid types of Vitamin C is that they are highly unstable and break down every time you open the bottle and oxygen gets to the product. If your Vitamin C starts to turn brown half way through the bottle, that’s a sign that it is oxidizing and is losing its effectiveness. (Think of an apple that turns brown 20 minutes after taking a bite.)

I personally prefer products that have a combination of vitamins, like  A,C & E.

4. Use the latest ingredients to address certain skin conditions.

  • Peptides-collagen stimulating ingredient for firming the skin
  • White Tea– the most calming antioxidant of all teas, for soothing redness.
  • Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate– stable Vitamin C that not only provides powerful antioxidants to the skin, but works to lighten pigmentation (brown spots).
  • Pomegranate– a highly potent antioxidant.
  • Shea Butter-ultra-moisturizing to alleviate dry skin.
  • Hyaluronic Acid– helps retain the skin’s natural moisture. It can hold 1000 times its weight in water resulting in enhanced elasticity, lubrication, plumpness and moisture of skin. Also has healing properties.

a-dr-sebagh-supreme-maintenance-serum

    5. Don’t pick at your skin. The life of a breakout is just 3-5 days, but when you pick at a blemish, the red mark that lingers can be there for 1-2 months! We know it’s tempting, but you can make problem skin much worse by forcing bacteria deeper into the skin, resulting in scarring and further breakouts.

    230439529

I use blemish cream/drawing paste/spot gel to get rid of blemishes. Choose those that contains sulphur (smelly but effective), benzylperoxide (again, smelly), tea tree oil ( medicinal) or salicylic acid.

    6. Clean your cosmetics brushes once a week. Bacteria and oil can build up on your cosmetic brushes, which can lead to clogged pores and break outs. Using a mild liquid dish soap and cold water, carefully wash out your brushes and rinse thoroughly. Comb the bristles to prevent tangling. Stand brushes upright in a glass to let dry. Cosmetic sponges should be washed with mild soap and rinsed thoroughly after each use.

I use baby shampoo to clean my brushes after wiping them with eye make up removal ( dont use waterproof eye make up removal as it will leaves oily residue )

    7. Throw out your bar soap and exchange it for a liquid cleanser. The binders that hold a bar of soap together are in an alkaline base (high pH balance) which will strip all the water and natural oils out of the skin, causing the surface of the skin to dehydrate. Your skin cells need to stay moist in order to be healthy, and without water, acne conditions, sensitive and dry skins will be aggravated.

    0828-blow

    8. Exfoliate. Exfoliation is the key to untrapping clogged pores, fading post-break out red marks, smoothing the skin and stimulating new and healthy skin cell growth, but people forget to make exfoliation a regular part of their routine. Keep your facial scrub in the shower, that way it’s staring at you and your most likely to then use it. 2-3 times a week is a must for healthy and smooth skin!

    retina

I use topical retin A a few times a week underneath my night cream, so i couldnt be bothered with manual exfoliation.

    9. Always use an eye cream. This delicate area is the first place to show aging and also contains the fewest oil glands on the face. Daily use of an eye cream applied in a patting motion with your ring finger keeps this area moist and plump resulting in a lesser appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Be sure to avoid eye creams that contain Mineral Oil or Petroleum as these ingredients will weight down the skin tissue resulting in premature sagging of the skin. And always apply eye cream with your ring finger. It’s the weakest finger and won’t unnecessarily tug at the skin tissue.

    eye-concentrate-la-mer

    10. Avoid drinking out of straws.  We know that the reason for lines and wrinkles is from sun damage, but it’s also caused from facial expressions. (Think smiling as the cause of crow’s feet around the eyes.) So when drinking out of a straw, you have to purse your lips which causes unnecessary wrinkles and lines around the mouth. If you’re concerned about lines and wrinkles, then drinking directly from the glass is a much better option. Save that expression for kissing!

    Great Makeup Tips?

    Posted in makeup with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on December 27, 2008 by LPB

Here is the 10 Great Makeup Tips i found on the blog.

Frankly, i disagree with most of the tips; don’t get me wrong, the principles are right, but rules are meant to be broken! Aren’t they?

IMO, we could be more resourceful, creative & daring.

Remember, you are your own guru.

Put on whatever you feel comfortable with; whatever makes you happy.

    Makeup Tip 1)

Apply concealer to the areas of concern like eye bags, dark eye rings or any blemishes for better foundation coverage or for a more natural skin tone.

    ysl-radiant-touch-concealer

Well, i find optically illuminating highlighter offers a much credible and forgiving coverage to dark circles.

If you couldn’t be bothered by concealing, why not try the smudged smoky look? Bet you got a fairly good base to begin with already.

In terms of blemishes, i tend to cover mine with my usual foundation. I just apply mine in layers with a concealer brush to build up the coverage, allowing each layer to dry off completely before the next.

If the blemish is not to prominent and i am in a playful mood, i actually turn it into a mole by painting it with liquid liner.

    Makeup Tip 2)

If you have not been sleeping well and need to look fresh in an instant, blend a little concealer to the outer corner of your eye, put on simple eye shadow and a tinge of blusher to make your face glow.

    bb_stonewashed

I believe in applying a highlighter or beige shade with subtle shimmer over the inner corner of my eyes, lining the lower rim of my lids to open up and freshen up the windows to my soul.

When i am really tired/busy, i just put on a pair of shade or glasses with nice frame.

    Makeup Tip 3)

Make your lipstick last longer by brushing your loose powder gently across your lips, press tissue paper onto it and reapply the lip stick again.

    websex-med

I just make sure I buy a good lipstick with great staying power; it’s not difficult to find a long lasting lipstick in a shade you like these days.

    Makeup Tip 4)

To save money on specialized face contouring products, use any ordinary face powder which is few shades darker than your usual one and apply to the sides of your jaw line.

    230093603f07d0

Contouring? It’s so 80s, it’s so “dynasty”! I firmly believe that contouring should be left to the professionals. I do not try this at home, okay, maybe for my halloween do.

    Makeup Tip 5)

Add a drop of witch hazel to turn normal foundation into a medicated one to prevent acne and pimples.

    shu-liquidfoundation

Witch hazel distillate shrinks pores temporarily ( by irritating the skin so that the pilo-sebaceous units swell up and you  pores disappear ), it doesn’t prevent acne/pimples/oily breakthrough!

Would you rub chillies on your lips to make them appears redder and more voluminous?

When it comes to foundation, my mantra is the 3C1F -Chemistry ( formula), Colour ( shade & tone ), Coverage and Finish.

I like Tiffany, De Beer, Cartier, Harry Winston on my ring finger; I will not put any inferior foundation on my face.

    Makeup Tip 6)

Extend your eyelashes by using mascara with lengthening and volumizing properties.

    large-eyelash-shot

Well, what can i say? A mascara is a mascara; A great mascara is a miracle. It’s the lingerie equivalent of your wardrobe; It’s tiny, it’s sexy, and never underestimate its charm. Yes, it does need to have a clean, polished finish that oozes elegance & sultriness.

    Makeup Tip 7)

Rub your hands together before applying your moisturizer to your face for better absorption.

    lom

Yes, heat does enhance penetration of your moisturizer, so does serum or any lotion/potion with superb spreadability. Unless you are using that La Mer stuff……

In fact, i do like massaging my face oil/cream in a fashion my facialist once taught me, in order to aid the lymphatic drainage & improve circulation.

    Makeup Tip  8)

When using blusher, always brush your cheeks in an up-down-up “U” shape to create that smiley look on your cheeks.

    mac_blush_collage

I like to apply blusher to the apples of my cheek – this gives me a radiantly flushed appearance; and i only smile if i fell like smiling.

I disregard the rules about matching the hue of your blusher to you underneath skintone ( cool, neutral, warm ). Sometimes clashing of elements make wonders.

    Makeup Tip 9)

Apply only a dot of lip gloss to the center of your lips and spread it out gently. Do not coat your entire lips with lip gloss as it will make your lips look oily.

    creme-gloss-lumiere

Gloss in the center makes your lips look poutier/fuller.

If you like full on gloss effect, go ahead, a gloss is a gloss, it should be shiny & juicy. I even apply gloss over my eyelids for a sparkly look!

Oh yes, i hate to admit this, but expensive gloss does smell nicer, taste better & last longer.

    Makeup Tip 10)

Give your eyes that lift by applying the correct type of eye shadow colors and also highlighting the eye ends near the nose area.

    quick-eyes-cream-shadow-icon-group-shot_global

Remember what Coco Chanel said? Always minus 1! Do not go overboard with the shades. I know Dior’s 5 colour palette looks great over the display counter, but putting all 5 shades onto your lids will be another story.

My experience is pinkish shades never look good on puffy lids; Monotonous finish can be very flattering if done right; cream shadow is great if you are in a hurry.

No, you dont have to match the colour of the shadows to your iris; you can highlight wherever you want.

    The Morning After beauty S.O.S

    Posted in skincare with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on December 16, 2008 by LPB

Inspirational read from http://www.journallive.co.uk by Liz Hands.

( I had edited the recommended products based on my personal encounter with those miracle lotions & potions )

Just like budgets, diets and alcohol limits, beauty regimes tend to go out of the window during the party season. Seasonal drinking, dancing and cavorting make for fun times during December but it’s our face and body that suffer on those dreaded mornings-after-the-night-before.

Luxurious beautifying mornings are replaced by a hungover scramble for any quick-fix that will leave us looking vaguely human again.

Luckily the beauty world is more than equipped to help us hide night owl habits in a flash.

Time to stock up on Alka-Seltzer and an armful of SOS after-party products.

    WAKE-UP CALL

The alarm has gone off and crawling to work in your duvet is just not an option. Hit the shower for a reviving wake-up call. Avoid turning the temperature gauge into the red – a lot of moisture evaporates from your skin during a hot shower, making you even more dehydrated.

“Invigorating citrus oils can be very effective at supporting post-party recovery,” says Geraldine Howard, founder of Aromatherapy Associates.

“Pink grapefruit and rosemary are particularly good at stimulating the circulation and helping with the removal of toxins.”

TRY: Molton Brown Enlivening Toko-Yuzu Bath & Shower Gel

I personally recommend Bliss Super Minty Soap’n Scrub – this popular mammoth minty soap now comes ‘melted’ in this jojoba bead packed peppermint cooling and exfoliating soap scrub paste .

    bliss-197

Finished this invigorating regime with Dr Hauschka Rosemary Bath – contains essential oil of Rosemary which warms and vitalises the body; or Sage Bath – for refreshing and revitalising tired, swollen and burning feet. Helps feet which tend to feel cold and which suffer from callouses. Revitalising the entire body, especially after sport and over-exertion.

    EYE BAG ALERT

If sleep has become a rare commodity during the party season, your under-eyes might resemble your Christmas shopping bags. But lack of sleep isn’t the only cause of dark circles.

“In Chinese medicine dark circles and bags under the eyes are an indication that there is stress on the kidneys, which makes sense after lots of parties and late nights,” explains Sally Penford of the International Dermal Institute.

“Look for light diffusing products. These will act like a multitude of tiny microscopic mirrors that deflect the light away from the eye and help disguise dark circles.”

TRY: MAC Fast Response Eye Cream

I believes in de-puffing eye gels, Eve Lom  Eye Serum – this concentrated, lightweight serum comes to the rescue of tired, puffy eyes. Use it morning and night and during long-haul flights to hydrate the delicate eye area, reduce dark undereye circles and smooth dry, fine lines. Euphrasia extract and camomile soothe, tone and reduce puffiness, while the mineral malachite protects against free radicals.

    0028_4616_dt

I also love Amanda Lacey Illuminating Eye Gel – with the very best, professional grade botanicals with natural proteins, anti-oxidants and age-defying technology, this silken gel works deep-down within the skin to rejuvenate, firm and lift, while micro-specks of soft focus mica adjusts light reflection to minimise the appearance of wrinkles and under eye circles. Moisture retaining mucopolysaccharide provides long-lasting hydration while soothing actives reduce bruising and puffiness.

    eye-gel

Also, bathing your eyes with witch hazel enriched Eyewash will shrinks those tiny blood vessels on your conjunctivae.

    FACE S.O.S

Avoid magnifying mirrors at all costs after a wild night on the tiles – you don’t want to see red eyes, blotchy skin and puffy cheeks staring back at you. Ensure your face is make-up free, then begin your fresh-faced disguise.

“Achieving a public-friendly façade is the way to look at it,” says David Horne, education director at the Jemma Kidd Make Up School.

“Concealer is going to be your best friend, whether you’re backstage at a party or waking up on the hotel floor. You can mix it with your eye cream to make it more hydrating if the skin’s dry, put it straight on from the product to get more coverage or even use it as a foundation if you mix it with some moisturiser.”

TRY: Dermalogica MultiVitamin Power Recovery Masque

I loves YSL Flash Radiance Skincare Brush – With a single brush stroke, signs of fatigue are erased, and skin is left feeling velvety smooth and fresh with radiance! This high-performance formula combines all the benefits of a skincare product with the precision and ease of a brush, the silky and comfortable texture glides over the skin, leaving it feeling incredibly fresh and invigorated. A blend of energizing active ingredients combine the Grain of Paradise extract with caffeine to erase signs of fatigue. On the skin’s surface, light-reflecting micro-pigments are able to capture and diffuse light, to reduce skin imperfections and boost radiance.

A seaweed derived sugar forms a veil that maintains moisture on the surface of the skin and protects it against external threats. Wheat proteins combined with sugar extracted from oats and a silcon elastomer allow for the formula to quickly smooth fine lines, leaving it feeling soft and velvety.

    top-secret-flash-radiance-skincare-brush-l

Finish with Armani Face Fabric Second Skin Nude Makeup SPF 12.

    a215_l

The last thing you want is a thick, pasty, cakey complexion that highlights all the sins; So i strongly recommend a light, natural finish that’s more forgiving ( if done correctly, will gives you the well rested glow )

    HAIR REPAIR

Woken up with locks like Amy Winehouse after an all-nighter? There’s only so far you can go using the ‘I’m working the bed-head hair trend’ excuse every day at the office.

If your boss is giving you funny looks it’s time to put some effort into your crowning glory – minus pricey salon blow dries. “Apply serum through the lengths to add definition and a glossing effect to tired or dull hair,” hairdresser Mark Hill recommends.

“A shine serum will not only smooth down unruly morning after hair and reflect shine from the sleek finish, but also nourish deep into the shaft and cuticle.”

I like James Brown serum; Chanel No.5 or Coco Mademoiselle fragrant hair mist will even refresh your hair and conceal that sickening smell of yesternight smoke/sweat……

    PIN PICK-UP

Agyness Deyn may be supermodel of the moment but the party girl is regularly snapped with her long limbs covered in bruises. If you’re prone to bumps and knocks, you may wake up after a night out looking like some rare breed of purple leopard.

Dr Chris Steele, GP from This Morning says: “There isn’t anything you can do to prevent bruises, but it is possible to minimise the longevity and appearance of them by using arnica, which has anti-inflammatory properties that help speed up the healing process.”

    Eve Lom TLC cream

Posted in skincare with tags , , , , on May 31, 2008 by LPB

Ideal for any skin that needs extra help, this cream will calm, soothe redness and help reduce the appearance of wrinkles. This rich and nourishing cream can be used over the face, eyes and neck and is ideal for visible creases around the eyes and upper lip.

I love this versatile cream; it has a very distinct, elegant aroma. However, this is definitely an occlusive, heavy weight cream that will leave a grease mark on your skin & pillow; great for dry, atrophic, scaly skin only!

    Ingredients:

aqua (water), paraffinum liquidum (mineral oil), cera alba (beeswax), cera microcristallina (microcrystalline wax), sorbitan sesquioleate, decyl oleate, isostearyl neopentanoate, sodium acrylates copolymer, ppg-1 trideceth 6, glycerin, calendula officinalis (calendula oil), arnica montana (arnica oil), brassica oleifera, magnesium sulfate, aluminum stearate, isopropyl myristate, disodium edta, methyl glucose sesquistearate , euphrasia officinalis, (eyebright extract), rosa damascena (rose oil), bht, alcohol denat., phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, butylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, isobutylparaben

Perfect for use as a regular weekly deep cleanse or as an emergency mask when your skin needs extra attention. Helps to reduce blotchy skin and minimises irritated and erupted conditions whilst enhancing the cleansing process and exfoliation.

Cooling camphor soothes and decongests, and almond extract reduces redness. Kaolin absorbs excess oil, reduces puffiness and evens out skin tone, while ground almonds gently exfoliate to leave a smoother surface.

Honey and glycerine hydrate and condition the skin, leaving it soft and supple. Alternatively use the Rescue Mask as an instant pick-me-up for puffy, morning-after eyes: simply dilute and apply under the eye.

I absolutely adore this deep cleaning, detoxifying mask. It’s great for product junkies; it’s the best i have ever had ( so far )
