Dermalogica Age Smart skin resurfacing cleanser

Posted in skincare with tags , , , , , on June 23, 2009 by LPB

This smoothing cleanser provides an exceptional beginning to your anti-aging regimen. It delicately removes dirt, debris, excess oil and makeup, leaving the skin fresh and pure.

Lactic acid exfoliates away dead skin cells while hydrating and brightening the skin.

Rose flower oil calms sensitivity, and vitamin E provides antioxidant protection, conditioning, and softening benefits all while locking in moisture for a plumper, more supple complexion.

Developed for mature and prematurely aging skin, this gentle cleanser prepares the skin for further treatment, leaving it perfectly cleansed, soft and comfortable.

I had read about reviews of this cleanser in Makeupalley, most of the users were complaining that this powerful cleanser tends to dry up the skin and is too low foaming for an effective cleansing.

It doesn’t make my retin A treated skin flaky or irritated ( may be my skin had accustomed to “harsh” treatment after retinoid acid ). It smell is not as rosy as i would prefer. However, it does clean reasonably well, leaves my skin smooth & bright.

I found a way to make it foamy enough for my preference; i apply it on dry face, like any other milky cleanser, massage it all over, then add in a handful of luke warmth water. The emulsified solution will foams, and in my opinion, a rather dense fine foam!

I also use it all over my body as an exfoliant /moisturiser, without any adverse effect. I purchased this product in salon size!

Rodial a-list cleanser

Rodial a-list cleanserTM is a skin brightening balm cleanser for the face. It cleanses, removes face make-up & dirt and helps to reduce the appearance of age spots & hyperpigmentation.

Almond, jojoba & wheatgerm oils nourish the skin, vitamin C brightens the complexion, amino acids reduce age spots, waterlily reduces inflammation.

Benefits:
• A-list tip: Ideal for jet set/fast pace lives with dull dehydrated skin types that do not tolerate cleansing with waterlist glow
• Brightens & lightens the skin
• Reduces the appearance of age spots & hyperpigmentation
• Restores moisture to extremely dehydrated skin
• Increases collagen production resulting in plumper hydrated skin
• Calms sensitive or irritated skin from cosmetic procedures

This spreadable, soft cleansing wax has a nice citrusy aroma, turns into a milky toner when rinsed, leaving the skin soft & moisturized; although i have not notice any changes in my skin tone.

However, the packaging is a trash, it’s difficult to pump out a homogenous amount of this lovely balm.

Amanda’s on the other hand has an intoxicating, flowery aroma and its slightly gritty texture also help with skin resurfacing.

Vaishaly’s is the most enveloping among all. It gives great slippage when massaged & emulsifies well with water. It has a pampering, relaxing scent which is rather addictive.
