Jo Malone red roses

Composed of seven types of roses from around the world, Red Roses is a surprisingly clean, voluptuous scent. With a heart of crushed violet leaves and hints of lemon, it unfolds like a bouquet of fresh-cut flowers.

I like this extremely rosy fragrance, it’s the new school rose scent with a twist, unlike the classical boring rose notes.

Bobbi brown sheer pressed powder

This powder is sheer enough to set my foundation, providing a semi matt finish that will not turn ashy/chalky  or enhance lines/skin flakes.

I love to apply it with a big fluffy brush in place of loose powder; its so convenient to carry around and last for ages despite the brush application technique.

It may not be the best pressed powder, but it’s so far the best i had used

La Ligne De Chanel

Mistake-proof eyeliner duo enables every woman to achieve the perfectly lined eye. Stray-proof, powder-based formula easily mimics both the precision of a liquid eyeliner and smudged look of a kohl pencil.

Its long-wear formula keeps makeup in place all day long. With its two attachable applicators that offer perfect grip, obtain a personalized result:
– the brush can be used slightly dampened for a sharp and precise line.
– the blender, used dry, outlines the eyelids with soft colour. The sharp and stylized line is perfectly adaptable. It enhances the eyes with matte or scintillating radiance.

These powdered dual offer immense color when used wet; the intensity of the color is rather inadequate when used dry. I like to smudge the shimmering powder over my kohl to create an intense, mesmerizing, smoky finish that lasts whole day.

Use the opaque pitch black shade over colored kohl pencil to add depth.

Dark smoky eyes

I am looking for the perfect eye shadow to create a sexy smoky eyes. Chanel palette has been rather disappointing due to the over the top shimmering effect.

Chanel’s Beige

From Chanel’s press release…on Beige:
“I take refuge in beige because it’s natural,” said Mademoiselle Chanel. Sandy beige, honey beige, clay beige, whitish beige… She loved all shades of this colour, which evokes natural elegance and grace. An elusive colour with infinite variations, beige may seem quite ordinary. And yet, behind this apparent simplicity, it hides a discreet sensuality that builds slowly before revealing itself fully.

This sensual outburst is interpreted by Jacques Polge through a bouquet of hawthorn, freesia and frangipani, with shimmering hints of honey. A stunning blend of white petals and yellow gold…in other words, a breath of Beige.”

On you go Beige, to my wish list!

La Mer eye concentrate

This concentrated, ultraluxe eye treatment quenches and conditions impressionable skin. The Eye Concentrate significantly reduces the appearance of dark circles and puffiness, lines and wrinkles, encouraging the eye area to look healthy, luminous and feel supple as never before.

The Eye Concentrate is infused with three unique forms of Miracle Broth™: the original, a concentrated form and a new, encapsulated form designed to optimise continuous release to the skin. Known for its renewing properties, the Miracle Broth™ infuses skin with the revitalising ingredients it needs to focus on renewal.
The Eye Concentrate works in tandem with a specially-engineered, silver-tipped applicator which helps cool the skin, immediately facilitating micro-circulation. Rich in hematite, a naturally magnetic mineral known for its energies, with continuous use, The Eye Concentrate works over time to dramatically dissolve the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. The eye area appears healthy, more vital.

Improving visible clarity and discolouration, an exclusive marine ferment penetrates the skin with a powerful wave of activity. The appearance of discolouration and unevenness is dramatically diminished. Skin that looks tarnished and dull regains a look of healthy radiance and brightness as it is brought back to its most luminous centre.
Improving visible tone, The Eye Concentrate utilises a wealth of precious marine and plant ingredients to help skin reinforce its natural support system.  Skin that has lost its elasticity and suppleness is gently visibly smoothed and toned, vastly reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.  A wealth of anti-oxidants helps skin to defend the eye area against future damages.

It’s moisturizing, refreshing, slightly de-puffing, but has no effect on dark shadows under the eyes!

It’s definitely not de-wrinkling or de-bagging.

Becca’s stick foundation & pressed powder

The ultimate skin savior, creating the illusion of flawless skin by evening out skin tone and lightly concealing blemishes. A unique balance between maximum sun protection (SPF 30+) and long lasting wear.

The soft, creamy texture allows a totally controllable level of coverage.

The non-powdery formulation is suitable for most skin types (including ultra-sensitive) and provides sheer to medium, natural looking coverage.

Doubles as a sheer under-eye concealer.

Contains broad spectrum SPF 30+ to protect against over 96% of both UVA and UVB rays.

Contains antioxidant vitamins A, D, and E, which help to increase collagen renewal and the skin’s moisture holding capacity.

This foundation stick offers enough slip upon application and blends effortlessly, the underlying yellow tone may looks overwhelming on the stick but dispersed to a natural skin enhancing hue after blending.

The coverage is medium and the finish is dewy, with SPF of 30. It definitely needs to be set with powder and lasted about 5 hours before any shine breaks through ( i set mine with bobbi brown sheer finish pressed powder ).

The shades selection is excellent, i am thinking of getting a shade lighter  & a shade darker for subtle highlighting & contouring.

The down side is it has a strange aroma , feels waxy ( without appropriate skin preparation ) & tends to slide off & smudge after 6 hours without touching up.

The ultimate “show off” compact. Beautifully packaged with its own fabric pouch for protection in the handbag, this exceptionally fine, silky pressed powder is designed for portable touch-ups to reduce shine and freshen make-up. This micro-milled powder contains a superior, modified rice starch, allowing it to be applied as often as desired, without cakiness.

Reduces shine and freshens makeup throughout the day or night.

Will never look cakey on the skin and can be applied as often as desired.

The powder compact is accompanied by a brown zippered protective pouch.

This pressed powder is really fine and offers sheer coverage when applied alone. The finish is again somewhat dewy/satiny rather than matte.

It does not minimize pores or absorb oily breakthrough.

EL Sumptuous mascara

Estee Lauder introduces Sumptuous bold volume lifting mascara

LIKE A little black dress, mascaras come in all shapes and sizes and deliver a range of benefits to suit your lifestyle and your look.

The style that always works for you might not be the one that works for your friend. Or perhaps it’s variety you crave wishing to change your look with your mood.

No matter what the desired effect, Estee Lauder offers a solution, and this summer the brand is delivering even more versatility to your lash wardrobe with new Sumptuous Bold Volume™ Lifting Mascara an advanced new mascara that creates daringly full, lavishly lifted lashes without the clumping or spiking so often associated with volumizing mascaras. Now take your lashes where they’ve never been before all the way to big, bold and beautiful.

Until now there has been one primary way to create extreme volume the classic heavy deposit of many coats of waxy mascara, which creates volume by clumping lashes together.

While this gives the illusion of thicker lashes, it can also lead to lashes that are droopy and messy. Now, there is a sumptuous alternative Estee Lauder’s Bold Volume™ new, patent-pending mousse-like formula contains a calculated blend of light-weight gels, polymers, waxes and pigments to lift and plump even sparse lashes into big, lush lashes that are all lightness and flirtatious curl.

The new jellified suspension system utilises “swollen” water, which allows the use of less wax to add a dimension of incredible volume and lifting. This means that all ingredients are gently and lightly suspended much like a whipped soufflé as opposed to a dense chocolate cake!

Adding to the light base are new, “Y” shaped nylon fibres that reinforce the volume enhancing, airy properties of the formula. Atmospherically lightweight, these innovative Micro-Lock fibres interlock and stack together on the lashes as the product is applied to create a pillow-like cushion around each lash.

Enveloping each lash in the cushiony, mousse-like formula, these unique fibres fill in even the sparsest of lashes and deliver glamorously rich volume and lift. Adding to the impact, the fibres are blended with gripping TackFlex polymers to quickly coat lashes from root to tip, keeping them light and lifted while exaggering volume.

In addition, a carefully calibrated combination of lightweight waxes and oils, such as hydrogenated olive oil and paraffin wax create maximum volume and curl and prevent clumping. The result is supple, flexible lashes suspended in a beautifully arching curl.

Sumptuous Bold Volume ™ Lifting Mascara includes a new, specially designed BrushComber™ brush that wraps your entire lash in air-light volume for a 360º effect.

With a blend of two different bristle fibres, the BrushComber™ delivers all the thickening effects of a brush with the definition of a comb. While one fibre is soft and flexible to quickly deposit the formula and deliver dramatic volume to individual lashes, the other fibre is more rigid and solid to comb through lashes for a look that is both clump-free and expertly separated.

Ideal for even the sparsest of lashes, Sumptuous Bold Volume™Lifting Mascara is fragrance free, ophthalmalogist tested, and safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. Easily remove the mascara with makeup remover, such as Estee Lauder’s Take It Away Total Makeup Remover.

This summer, let your eyes speak volumes with daringly full, sensuously curved, all-outseductive lashes.

It’s the best volume amplifying mascara i had tried so far, light in texture yet heavy weight in finish! Smudge free, clump free.
